For my contemporary Canadian art class, we're encouraged to go to Shary Boyle's exhibition that just ended this past Sunday at UQAM's gallery. Her work is fabulous and I could not refrain from buying the book that goes along with her exhibition (as the image on the cover was my favourite in the exhibition).
Her work is a strange mix of fairy-tale and a bizarre, unsettling nightmare. I've been doing a lot of procrastination lately as I've got a lot of school work to catch up on, but it seems that for me procrastination equals creativity and a need to paint to ease tensions. Anywho, last night I made my own ode to Shary Boyle (which isn't nearly as nice as her's, I know!).
